WHO WE ARE

STARS Dance Academy opened in 2003 and has been providing quality dance education for 21 seasons!

We’re your favorite neighborhood dance studio, where you’ll learn to dance, and meet your best friends! Our studio is a place where dancers of all ages and levels can come together to express themselves through the beauty of dance. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or taking your very first steps, our experienced, passionate instructors are here to guide and support you on your dance journey.

At our studio, you'll find a diverse range of dance styles to explore, from ballet to hip-hop, tap to contemporary. We believe that there is a dance style for everyone, and we are dedicated to helping you discover the joy of movement in a fun and welcoming environment. And we keep our classes small so your dancer gets the individual attention they deserve!

MISSION

We provide students with a well-rounded dance education, a sense of accomplishment and positive self-worth, and life-long friendships.

As a studio, we teach hard work and perseverance through the sport of dance, and encourage dancers to use the art form to express themselves in a healthy way.

As a community, we support our students as dancers and as people, and inspire them to put love and passion into everything they do.

WHY DANCE?

Dance classes provide so many benefits for children, including enhancing physical fitness and coordination. During classes your dancers will improve their flexibility, strength, and balance. This not only helps in developing their motor skills but also promotes a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, dance fosters creativity and self-expression. By learning different dance styles and routines, children are encouraged to explore their imaginations and communicate emotions through movement, which is why we encourage our dancers to try every style of dance - and our tuition structure promotes that. Dance classes also instill discipline and perseverance and inspire confidence as dancers practice and perfect new skills and perform their routines in front of a live audience. Perhaps most importantly, dancing in a group setting promotes teamwork and social skills, allowing children to build friendships and learn the importance of cooperation. Dance classes can positively impact a child's physical, emotional, and social development!

CERTIFICATION

Though our studio is centered around our ballet classes, STARS Dance Academy is the only studio in Omaha, and the first in Nebraska, to be certified by Acrobatic Arts, the only professional curriculum for acrobatic dance. If your dancer hasn’t given our Acro program a try, we can’t recommend it enough!
